A supported, opinionated, well-lit route for doing common engineering work — creating a service, adding a database, shipping to production. It is not a mandate: teams may leave the path, but they carry the operational burden themselves, which makes the choice honest. It is how a platform organisation gets standardisation without a governance board, because the standard route is genuinely the easy one.

A maintained list of technologies the organisation is adopting, trialling, assessing or holding, with reasons. It exists to stop the same evaluation being run repeatedly by different teams and to make 'no' a documented position rather than a senior engineer's mood. It rots quickly without an owner, and a rotten radar is worse than none because people cite it.
