Disagree and commit

The convention that once a decision is made, people who lost the argument execute it fully rather than half-heartedly. It exists because the alternative is either endless relitigation or silent sabotage, both of which cost more than a wrong decision usually does. It only works if disagreement was genuinely heard first, otherwise the phrase becomes a way to end conversations rather than a way to move past them.
